The other world leans towards this world, as this world strechtes up to the other. Each side moves towards the other in the search for loving contact.

God and Man might also be meant.  They seek and find each other, at the halfway point of the way.  The supranatural leans down towards Nature.  And Nature for her part has the longing and the strength to turn towards the supranatural.

Both birds have the same plumage:  the warm ochre colour of love.
